I was in VV Rouleaux in Sloane Square the other day where they have a large selection of fabric roses including these Giant organza and velvet rose corsages in a range of colours.
They really are large and I thought they could make a beautiful alternative to having a fresh flower bouquet, which you could hold or use it to customise your wedding dress by attaching to the waist with a matching coloured sash. You’ll also have it long after the wedding is over and be able to use it again. They also have smaller ones which you could use in clusters for your bridesmaids.
Just next door is Basia Zarzycka, an Aladdin’s cave of amazing bespoke vintage pieces where they have these amazing beaded bouquets. This would truly be an heirloom piece and although at prices starting from £895, probably out of most brides’ price range.
Another option, great if you’re having a wedding abroad, especially by the sea is this handmade feather, bead and shell bouquet from Etsy.

And here are some great non floral bouquets from the blogosphere:
Truly inspired here, the bride made these bouquets herself.
