Adorable Finds: Mary Kilvert Pocket Mirrors

I recently came across London based designer and illustrator Mary Kilvert and thought her little pocket mirrors would make the cutest little gifts for your bridesmaids or fabulous favours. With beautiful illustrations and in 7 different designs the hardest decision would be which to choose.

She also has lovely range of prints and house wares including cushions, mugs and tea towels and can also design you your own bespoke wallpaper.

We Make London Christmas Fair 2010

Well it’s that time of year again We Make London are back at Chelsea Town Hall with their Christmas Fair on Saturday 4th December

With loads of great exhibitors selling their beautiful handcrafted goods from clothing to jewellery, stationery to works of art you’ll find loads of inspiring finds for your wedding or at the very least pick up a few great Christmas presents.

Here is a very small selection of some of my favourite things from some of the exhibitors:

Love these beautiful porcelain rings from, Maap Studio great gifts for your bridesmaids

How about a stunning yet delicate statement necklace to wear with your wedding dress, these are made from vintage lace by Culpably Cute

Looking for ‘Something Blue’ how about this garter or wrist corsage by A Alicia using fair-trade, organic fabrics and vintage elements and has a dedicated online wedding store, here. Her signature knitted cord necklaces are pretty fab too.

Great laser cut cards from Cosmo Cards

These beautiful handmade cards with hand drawn maps inside are a great little idea from Afternoon Outing, they’re more than just maps but little guided tours of an area with interesting, lesser known places pointed out. I think these would be great for a wedding in London, especially if your church and reception are within walking distance of each other, you could give them to your guests to guide them along the way.

For a list of all the exhibitors and more info on the fair check out the We Make London blog here

Adorable Finds for Wet Weather

If you’re worried about rain on your wedding day then it might be a wise idea to have a pair of funky wellington boots handy just in case but it has to be said flat welly boots aren’t for everyone, especially if like me you’re short,  so I was delighted to find out about the Wedge Welly. Yes wellys with heels- how fab is that!!

Go check out the Wedge Welly website where you can find out more about these adorable finds.

I also recently added this great heart shaped umbrella to my kit available from Umbrella Heaven (ok mine is ivory but couldn’t resist matching it to the wellys)

You can really go to town with your choice of wellington boots and umbrellas from bright colours to spots and stripes and even using them to accessorise your bridesmaids; who says you can’t have fun in the rain on your wedding day?

Adorable Finds: Umbra fotofalls

I was in House of Fraser last week when I spotted these fabulous Umbra Footfalls photograph holders and thought what a great addition they would make at a wedding for a really contemporary take on a wishing tree, a table plan or escort cards holder and of course they could always be used to show family photos or a way to display fun photo booth shots.

They come in two sizes the one above which would sit on a table or below that's floor standing.

While looking around the website for these which I’d seen in House of Fraser I also found this one called ‘Petal’ which I think would make a very cool and different take on a table centrepiece and lovely gift for one lucky guest at the table.

And this great wall frame cluster Huddle frame (large) would make a wonderful table plan holder that you could use to display some of your wedding photos after the big day.

Take a look at the Umbra website, it’s a fabulous find of modern design led products for the home many of which could easily be used for your wedding day.
