Always Loves: Mercury Glass

I have a bit of a thing for mercury glass at the moment; I love the tarnished effect, the way it glimmers when used with candles,  the lovely texture it gives to mirrored surfaces and I think it is a perfect way to add a touch of vintage combined with a bit of metallic glamour. Traditionally made from blowing two layers of glass and lining the inside with mercury (a short lived practise due to its toxic nature) you can also find it in other shades too.
