Featured in Wedding Flowers Magazine

Back in May I had the absolute pleasure of coordinating Katie and John’s stunning wedding at Northbrook Park and I’m delighted to say their wedding is featured in the November/December issue of Wedding Flowers Magazine.

The stunning flowers were by the lovely Steph of fairynuff flowers who I was so pleased I could recommend to Katie with as always fabulous photographs by Marianne Taylor.

It’s fab edition bumper packed with some great articles as well as stunning  real wedding features like Katie & John’s. Some of my favourites are Charlotte from Rock My Wedding’s round up of floral adorned sweet treats (including a couple of shots from this fab shoot I assisted on); a beautifully styled shoot by Miss Pickering highlighting the best of British blooms; fabulous flower facts (with stunning photos by Dominique Bader) and a great floral master class by a-list London florist Jane Packer...one day I want to try making a ‘Carmen’ rose-just stunning…

Go grab yourself a copy now, I'd love to know which are your favourute articles?

A visit to a wedding dress design studio: Allbone & Trimit

I recently visited the lovely Catherine of Allbone & Trimit in her fab little studio in Crystal Palace. Catherine was one of the first wedding suppliers I ever introduced myself to before I’d even officially launched my wedding planing company so it was great to have a long oveerdue catch up over tea and cake, and yummy polenta lemon drizzle cake at that from the local Blackbird Bakery.

Catherine is a bespoke wedding dress designer, but not just your average white dress, Allbone & Trimit specialises in creating truly original and bespoke dresses for your wedding day in a range of luscious colours and fabrics.

Catherine showed me some of the beautiful dresses she has made in the past and some lovely designs she is currently working on, here are a few sneak peaks from my visit.

Catherine also holds regular studio open days too, so you can pop down to say hello and see her beautiful dresses in person...and have some yummy cake too! The next one is at the end of the month.
Friday 28th 6-9pm & Saturday 29th  & Sunday 30th  11am -5pm

For further infomation and more examples of her work visit the Allbone  & Trimit website

Fashion Inspiration: Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2012

Doing a little browsing today and came across the Louis Vuitton by Marc Jacobs spring/ summer 2012 collection. With lots of ice-cream pastels, silk organza layering and the most beautiful lasercut flowers and giant broderie anglais detailing I thought they made the perfect inspiration for those of you looking for short wedding dresses and the models made their entrances via a white carousel, how fabulous would it be to have one of those at your wedding…

Our Big Fat Greek Wedding Anniversary

Today is our ten year wedding anniversary! It is the most glorious sunny day in London so we went out for a lovely lunch at our local Café Rouge where we sat outside in the sun and plan on having a relaxing evening at home.  We’ve been taking it easy today and making the most of the sun but I thought I’d share a few photos from our wedding day.

We had a traditional Greek Orthodox wedding ceremony at St Sophia’s Cathedral in Bayswater followed by dinner and lots of dancing at The Carlton Tower on Cadogan Square. It really was an amazing day that was just the beginning of a wonderful marriage.

I designed my 3 piece wedding dress and my parents who owned a dress factory at the time made it for me. I also had great fun making my tiara and earrings.

Dancing the traditional Greek ladies dance

Now bearing in mind we got married 10 years ago I don’t have many digital images of our wedding so I took some photos of our wedding album by our fabulous photographers Storybook Weddings.
